Christmas in July: Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

So it just may be the second most wonderful time of the year (except for my wallet).  This year, I took advantage of not only shopping the anniversary sale early, but with the help of a personal stylist.  I want to share with you guys and gals some secrets to shopping the sale and some of my absolute favorite purchases, aka wins.

While to shop early, you must be a Nordstrom cardholder, the second perk IS COMPLETELY FREE AND COMPLETELY AMAZING.  I spent thirty minutes the night before my appointment scrolling through the Nordstrom app adding things to my wishlist for my personal shopper/sales associate to pull from the store.  I did filter the app by what was available at my local Nordstrom, as they obviously don’t have every item at every location.

When I arrived for my appointment, almost every item I had pre-selected was there, plus some extra goodies my personal stylist thought I would like.  With the madness of the remainder of the store, it was stress-free.  The real perk comes into play with the fact that the best items go SUPER FAST.  In past years, I’ve actually had items in my shopping cart, and by the time I proceed to the checkout, they are sold-out.  Total bummer, right?

Here are some of my most-loved purchased items from this year’s sale.

Burberry 56mm Cat Eye Sunglasses in Black/Check Print

Originally $245, you can snag these babies for $163.90.  They are super durable and completely flattering.  The Burberry check print adds a nice classy touch to the frame without being too extra.  These are still available.

J.Crew Pink Dover Blazer

Oh hey there, beautiful.  I’ve been on the search for the perfect pink blazer for quite some time now, and this may just be it.  While the pink limits the blazer from becoming a wardrobe staple, the sale price of $131.90 makes you feel a little better than spending the original $198.  Most sizes are currently sold out in this color, but they still have some available in black, heather, and navy.

FRAME Le High Slit Hem Skinny Jeans

I have honestly never felt sexy and comfortable in jeans, but these really just do it all for me.  The Wythe wash makes them perfect for dressing up or dressing down.  And paying $143.90 instead of the original $215 makes them all the more appealing.  This item was one my personal shopper picked, as I tend to steer away from jean shopping.  I typically dread trying on jeans, but these became an instant hit with me.

Rebecca Minkoff – The Force Is Female Tee

I purchased this tee in black.  It is super soft and how could you not love the message?     Coming down from $58, you can purchase this for $37.  I would recommend sizing down, as it runs a tad large, although it is 100% cotton.  Boss bitches, prepare to meet your future errand-running, messy-bun-get-shit-done, go-to tee.

Sam Edelman Chesney Loafer in White

Dress them up or down, these will easily be a new favorite in your closet.  Not only will white be killer for summer, but I will get use out of these all year round.  They are surprisingly comfortable.  Steal these from the original price of $149.95, for just $99.90.

Olivia Burton Signature Floral Mesh Strap Watch, 38mm

I’ve been wanting one of these beauties, but since the age of the apple watch, mine hasn’t left my wrist.  It was hard for me to pass up the $50 off of the original $150.  The strap is at first tricky to adjust, but a Youtube instructional video was an easy fix.

I hope these tips for the sale find you well, and I hope you love these items as much as I do.  If you feel so inclined comment with your favorite pretty little thing from this year’s sale.  Don’t forget to shop soon, as the best items go quickly!  Until next time, babes.

xoxo,

Jess
